New glasses in the family

After struggling with reading, and noticing Josh leaning closer and closer to screen and books, we took him to eye doctor. He confirmed what we suspected, and now Josh wears eyeglasses for reading and up close work, like drawing guns!

Well, after the cold part of the flu hit all 6 of us, the yucky side of flu so far has had 4 of us. Hit Josh first on Sunday, then hours later Noah, the following Friday it struck Zach, and finally Monday I was hit. I'm hoping last 2 hold off but we won't hold our breath!

Flu bug arrived=2 down

We've been invaded by the flu bug. Josh started with fever and croupy cough late Tuesday night.

Little better on Wednesday, fever back again in the evening. Then this morning Noah woke up 

with a fever and small cough. Started him on fever med, then at lunch when I tried to give more

fever med, well, I'll just say it didn't stay down more than 2.3 seconds! Poor little fellows! The battery died in my thermometer so made a stop tonight for new one along with stock in fever medicine and cough medicine and cold and flu medicine. Forgot the hankies though,lol! Noah really started looking bad when I got home so I tried out the new thermometer. His temp was 105.1*! No wonder he had glassy eyes. Finally got his temp to break at 12a.m. now he's only 100.1*, much better. Strange how you wouldn't notice 5* difference so much outside but sure makes a difference on a little one! Josh slept on one of the crib mattresses I have under my bed for sick munchkins on Tues pm and Wed pm now tonight Noah joins him on the other mattress on our bedroom floor. I find I rest easier if I can reach out and feel little heads and hear breathing when they are in my room. Zach laid next to josh this morning, trying to get out of school work, and Noah slept with Hannah on Wednesday night so I'm sure they're up next!!! We'll see how long rest of us hold out!
